When I bought my first car there was no Internet. If you wanted car insurance you talked to your family’s insurance agent, there was very little shopping around and the expectation was that it was going to be expensive, because good car insurance simply was. Getting a cheap auto insurance quote never crossed my mind at that point in my life. However, as an adult, I have found that when I purchase a new car I go online and use a quote tool to find the cheapest insurance that I can from the most reputable company. I wish they had these options when i was younger, it would have saved me a great deal of money.
