Hybrid cars seem to be all the rage at the moment with many stars such as Leo Di Caprio driving them. But when you cut through the hype are hybrid cars that much better for the planet? Well some would argue not for two main reasons. Firstly the manufacturing process to produce the hybrid car is actually more damaging to the planet than manufacturing normal cars. The second reason is that the technology used in a hybrid car is far more difficult to dispose of in an environmentally safe way than that of a normal car. Personally I think the hybrid car is a step in the right direction for the motor industry.
