In my opinion I think that having remote engine shut off as a standard feature in every car could be and should be the case one day.  If car thieves know that this system is a standard feature it will deter them from ever taking another car.  This will help to protect parents and children, the elderly, and anyone who owns and drives a car.  It will take years but in the end I think that having this option as a standard feature could be a very good thing.  Something that will protect the general public from car theft crimes.
