I am involved in the PTA, and we are doing many different types of fund raisers.  I have learned with all of the different fund raisers that we do that the successful ones are the ones that we advertise. 

Making sure that people are aware of your fundraiser is one of the only ways that you will be successful with your fundraising efforts.  You need to make sure that everyone knows about the fundraiser, why you are doing the fundraiser and your goals of the fundraiser.

By advertising you will find that people will be very willing to help you achieve your goals.  You will find that often times you are going to miss someone who would have helped you to achieve your goals because you did not advertise.
