When I married a Christian debt counselor, I figured I would never be in debt again.  I mean, my husband had a great outlook on life and knew how to handle money. He was thrifty but knew how to have fun. I just couldn’t believe my luck to find such a great guy. However, I didn’t count on my own nature getting in the way. I’m a spender, and the first few years of our marriage were a nightmare because of it. I constantly got lectured because of my bad spending habits, and I never could stop spending money. Nowadays I go to his office once a week and chat with one of his associates about money management. I think it’s saving my marriage.
