We have two desktops at home and are as still reliable as they were five years ago.  we just had periodic upgrades on the software we’re using to keep up with the technological innovations that are introduced almost every year.

Of our two desktops, the one inside our bedroom is the one I use for some take home work while the one at the family room is for everybody’s use.  The one in the den is more sophisticated since the kids use it for gaming.  My desktop is reserved only for work and some keeping in touch with friends and family back in Arizona.

I have been contemplating of buying new desktops.  But my son Ethan assured me that the desktops (台式机 to the Chinese) at home are working just fine.  But he said he may ask me for a laptop when he enters junior high.

Our desktops at home have grown with the boys.  But these desktops still do not show signs of slowing down.
