My son was playing flag football when he was tackled and received a bad injury to his back. He was rushed to the emergency room where the doctor told me he had fractured his spine. He had to be admitted to the hospital for several weeks so the doctors could monitor him closely. After he was released from the hospital he had to go to the Bedford Back Pain rehabilitation center twice a week for physical therapy. He missed the first four weeks of school due to his back injury. He was happy to be out of school, but missed his friends and playing football.
