Affordable Health Insurance For All

About five years ago just under half of all doctors in the USA favored a universal health care system paid for from federal funds and available to everybody, in much the same way as Medicare now covers senior citizens. Perhaps surprisingly, this figure has now risen to sixty percent of US doctors and appears to be continuing to rise. Many attempts have been made over the years to provide affordable health insurance for everyone and we have moved away from traditional indemnity insurance to a variety of different schemes including HMOs, PPOs and others. Nevertheless the number of people who are still living without health insurance remains far too high and the truth of the matter is that eventually we will be forced to do something drastic to remedy this situation.
