People suffering from diabetes are probably wondering whether or not cotton diabetic socks are the best choice. There are a lot of options available, and sometimes it is hard to figure out what is the best one. One thing that should be remembered is that each of the different types of diabetic socks serves a specific purpose. What purpose do the cotton ones serve?

The cotton socks  are very gentle on the skin. They do not contain 100% cotton, though. A small percentage of other fibers is mixed in, in order to maintain the sock’s moisture-wicking properties.

These socks are most appropriate for sports and outdoor activities. They protect the feet from any roughness in the sports shoes, while at the same time remove sweat along with the microbes that are located in it.

Other types of diabetic socks are appropriate for different occasions. Whether or not a person chooses to wear cotton depends entirely on their feet and on where they will be going.
