Embarassing Problems and Their Speedy Cures

Many people suffer every day from embarassing problems that keep them up at night, and where there are embarassing problems, there are marketers ready to offer quick relief (see 12 Hour Cure for Yeast Infection for an example)

Is there any truth to these claims of time frame? Usually not. In the case of the yeast infection thing perhaps, but I have seen many much more ridiculous claims made, such as “mend broken bones in one week” and such.

In my opinion, clever marketing is not necesarilly sinful unless the claims made are outright lies. I doubt anyone would care if their yeast infection took 30 hours instead of 12 hours to cure; they’ll probably just be glad that its gone.
