Frank and Pete were co-workers who hung around one another outside of work.  In fact, Frank and his wife and Pete and his wife did quite a bit of socializing together.  One year Pete’s wife Nancy got pregnant.  Nancy was heard telling Frank’s wife the following:  “A little thing like pregnancy isn’t going to stop me from drinking.  Why should I be ultra concerned about drinking alcohol during pregnancy?  Before the existence of all of the modern medical technology, women in the past drank while they were pregnant and no big thing was ever made of this.  Now, medical research is telling people that almost everything they eat or drink is unhealthy.  What’s the use in being so uptight about things?”
