Why drugs are the worst way to lower blood pressure
Most people think of drugs as the most important way to lower blood pressure. It’s only natural, isn’t it? No! Technically, drugs should only be advised in about 5% of hypertension cases. These are the cases of secondary hypertension, whereby high blood pressure is caused by an identifiable organic cause - like kidney disease, for example. Drugs are needed to control this condition.
However, doctors admit that up to 95% of high blood pressure is caused by lifestyle. When this happens it means that something - diet, weight, etc. - is seriously out of whack in your life. This is what you need to identify and address, not taking drugs that only help to control one of the symptoms.
