My husband and I moved into a beautiful mid-century home a few years ago. This beautiful home is simple in it’s design with wide expanses of windows and an open floor plan. It was a time of great change for us for lots of reasons. Not only did we move to a new state we decided to leave our old overstuffed upholstered furniture behind and start anew. We knew our old furniture would never look quite right in our new home. I’ve loved learning about contemporary furniture styles. Our favorite new chairs are our Barcelona chairs and ottomans. I learned that the Barcelona Chair was designed in the late 1920’s. It’s amazing to me that this contemporary furniture style looks so up-to-date at almost eighty years old.
