However, when having a closer look at these background check sites you will find out that only the initial search is free. If the company finds records in their databases you will have to pay to view the detailed report. Without viewing the detailed report your search is useless. So there is no way around paying the fee. I spent a lot of time checking out these services and let me tell you: not a single one was actually 100% free.
