Located on a plateau that overlooks Interstate 8 in San Diego, California, the College Area is a neighborhood that is primarily home to San Diego State University.  The neighborhood also has a traditional elementary school, called Hardy Elementary School, as well as two alternative K-8 schools: Language Academy and Tubman Village Charter.  The borders of this neighborhood are defined by Collwood Boulevard to the southwest, Interstate 8 to the north, Keeney Street to the East, and El Cajon Boulevard to the south.  Basically College Area is a neighborhood that is dominated by the San Diego State University which is one of the oldest universities in the state.
