Are Alternative Medicines Safe?

If you watch closely, you’ll find that there is a double standard in the medical community that is perpetuated in the news. Alternative medicines  are held to an unrealistic standard of safety in comparison with “approved” or “accepted” medicines.

For example, a common drug that is promoted to help men in bed can kill thousands of users with hardly a complaint or government investigation. After all, it is approved and the risks are stated right there on the bottle. But if one person dies from some natural treatment or alternative medicine, there are cries from doctors, and parroted in the press, to remove the product from store shelves. Are alternative medicines safe? Probably safer than prescribed drugs, but that doesn’t seem to matter to those who see approved side effects and deaths as somehow different and acceptable.
