In many cases divorce brings out the worst in people and some are even reduced to accusing their exes of crimes.

Take the case of my friends Rob and Linda, who were involved in a terrible fight over custody of their children.

Rob had gotten involved with another woman and Linda, upset, began accusing him of criminal activity and even stated that he’d been arrested.

Fortunately, Rob’s attorney simply ran a background check, including arrest records, and it showed no criminal history.

Eventually the couple resolved their differences and Linda was glad that the issue had been cleared because, as she stated, “Divorce makes people crazy”.
