Identity Theft Can Happen Without You Even Knowing.

I was shopping the other day with no idea as to what was about to happen.

As I was checking out, I pulled one of my credit cards out of my wallet and handed it to the cashier.

She took it and proceeded to scan it.

It didn’t take long before she handed it back to me and told me it had been rejected.

I told her that was impossible because there was no balance on the card. She didn’t budge and I had to pay with another card.

When I got home, I checked the card’s balance on line and was shocked to see it had been maxed.

I was a victim of identity theft. How it happened I have no idea.

I’m now in damage control mode.
