Displaying fancy text — a good workaround

This past week in my introduction to HTML class, the teacher posed a good question: what if you want to use a fancy text style, but you are pretty sure that most of your site visitors will not have that font installed in a web browser? As the font is not installed, you can’t just incorporate that font in your webpage directly. He gave us a good workaround solution: use a good graphics program and create an image of the text — save this text block and display it as an image file on your webpage. In this way, your site visitor will still see your fancy lettering even if they don’t have that font installed on their computer.
